A Soprano sings high notes, that's why she attracts so much attention.
An Alto sings low notes, and therefore nobody listens, let alone praises. But she continues singing. Why?
So that someday, someone who care enough to listen will sit next to her and say, "Hey, you're not so bad afterall, actually I think you sing beautifully. What's your name?"
An Alto sings so she can attract people who search beauty from the heart. Somebody who is caring, somebody who talks even to the most 'invisible' person. Somebody who appreciate values from the inside and not just from the outside.
And anybody who care enough to listen to her 'invisible' singing must be a very caring person. :)
